Serving your way to the Top Doing God's will may not be easy, but will always require exercising faith. Why? Because without faith it is impossible to please Him. The Bible says we must believe that he exists and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. |

We hear a lot about success as Christians in churches and books today. But have we read God's word concerning how we should achieve success? If we have read his word and know his will then we know that in order to receive, we must give. In order to be promoted, we must be faithful. Even a well known children's song gives away one of the Kingdom's greatest secrets of promotion. "If you want to be great in God's Kingdom you must become the servant of all." Are you doing your best to be a servant for your spouse, at your church, or for your employer? You may say, that my boss isn't a Christian so why should I try any harder than anyone else? You've missed the whole point. The Bible teaches us that we are a light to the world. If you work "as unto the Lord" the unsaved boss and fellow employees will know that you are the "Real Deal". When we just glide by or worse yet become rebellious complaining employees, instead of God being glorified by our behavior, His name is profaned. It would be better if we kept our faith in Jesus a secret, than to claim to know him and continually challenge authority at work or at church or in our family. When John the Baptist first preached that the Kingdom of God was at hand, many asked him what shall we do. His reply was to "bring forth fruit" in keeping with your repentance.
